How I Met Yoda

February 7, 2013 By Jessica Filed Under: Events 8 Comments

Me and the puppet for Yoda used in Episode V.

Yep. I really met him. And he’s awesome in real life.

When we were planning our trip to Europe in 2008, I found out that the Star Wars Exhibition was going to be in Brussels the same time we were going to be in Europe.  I literally rearranged our whole trip in Europe just so we could go to it.  It was basically a museum in some sort of event center basement full of movie props, costumes, characters, and early artwork that I flipped out over.  It was the best thing EVER!  And it was surprisingly empty.  Clearly people did not understand the awesomeness that was just down their street.  So we basically got the whole place to ourselves and Justin walked around taking pictures, pretending that he knew what everything was.

That’s really cool. I almost got to go to the Star Wars convention in Ohio or Indiana for Episode II, but I couldn’t go at the last minute. I was pretty bummed … especially since I could’ve possibly met Ewan McGregor. Sigh.

I was! And it was very anti-climatic for my husband to be like “Uh what’s that?” LOL :)

That’s pretty cool! C3PO is truly skinny, right? How did they ever stuff a man in there!

My name is Jessica. I love to read Young Adult and classic literature. I’ve been a book blogger for six years and I haven’t gotten tired of it yet. I’m a very curious reader. Writing about all the questions and thoughts I had while reading a book is the best hobby ever.  Read more….
